Rising Darkness 1/3
Bolt of lightning eluding out of the cloud as the young night sky shimmered with distant stars.
The first ever photo that I ever captured of a lightning bolt. I had been trying to shoot a bolt for the last 3 days standing on my terrace and waiting for the storm to build up. And after about 5000 failed attempts my prayers were answered by Lord Indra the God of lightning. It was past dusk and the darkness had started to fall in although I was lucky enough to see a star filled sky even on a stormy night. Two more frames were captured that day which follows in the past post in the feed.

Rising Darkness 2/3
Another capture of a lightning this time purple on the same night of the same set of clouds.
I was standing there trying to photograph lightning from the last 3 hours and this was my 2nd successful attempt at getting the composition right and the Lightning clear. Now, it was post dusk and it started getting darker and as it was now becoming unsafe to shoot from the open as we could not keep an eye on clouds nearby to keep us safe from strikes, so we retired after taking one more picture on this set.

Rising Darkness 3/3
So glad that I finally decided to post these lightning images that I took in the year 2020.
A fierce bolt of lightning cracking within the clouds into the far painting the darkness with tones of whiskey. The dark clouds sailing around the knight of light seemed like the darkness wanted to swallow the light into it.
A mesmerizing sight as it was.

Creeping Into The Dark
Today on 20.04.2021, in my city we experienced a sudden climate change and although it is not very normal but still this happens rarely. This rare atmospheric phenomenon is called “Heat Burst” and they usually tend to occur during spring and summers. In temperate zones where temperature tends to go beyond 40°C, evaporation occurs at a steady rate and accumulate in the clouds and when they rise in the Stratosphere they freeze and precipitate and while the temperature below is still very hot and the warm evaporating droplets coming from bottom meet with these precipitated particles the rain evaporates into a dry parcel of cold air high in atmosphere. This results in formation of several layers of hot and cold air which gradually raises the air pressure and thus we experience a sudden change of hot & humid climate to a thunderstorm. These changes usually result in heavy gusts of wind which can be very damaging and sometimes accompanied by lightning and a sudden downpour. They generally tend to occur during the decaying of a thunderstorm.
This image was taken by me during a similar occasion last year during mid-summer, but I never got the opportunity to share this image, so I thought to share it today with a bit of my knowledge about weather and thunderstorms.
