Alexandrine Parakeet

Deriving their name from Alexander-The great, as he was believed to have one as a pet, these beautiful creatures cannot be ignored if they tend to visit your backyard because of their piercing screeches. as was the case with me when i visited my parents for a week and was welcomed by their high pitched calls. I sat in the balcony most of my time there watching them through the curtains of rain.
