Asian openbill aka asian openbill stork aka Anastomus oscitans, as you can clearly notice gets it's name due to it's bill which has a gap in the centre and although this is a large wading bird but it is still considered pretty small compared to other stork species. I was travelling through the villages when on my way i found this unique village where in the main square there was a huge banyan cum sacred fig tree and about hundreds of these birds nestled on it. it was the mating time of the year and so as you can clearly see a pair of them indulged in an intense & passionate mating form.
