The Enchanting Shower
These pictures are among the most beautiful & precious moments of my photographic journey so far. I was sitting in my balcony and enjoying the clean & fresh breeze of the monsoon air with my camera in my hand looking for birds when this little Munia that had made it's nest on a tree right below my balcony, perched on this wire. Among the many pictures that I took, these were the most beautiful and the small rain drops froze in the frame like small diamonds against the backdrop of a row of trees, this was just magical!!!
The New Neighbour
These pictures were taken right from my balcony where I usually sit and do bird-watching. These Munia’s are actually a couple who were building a nest on a tall bushy tree that was right in front of my balcony. It was during the rainy season which is why I got such vibrant and greenish feel in my photos. It was really fun and a good way of entertainment to watch them build nests and the struggle they had to deal with another Munia couple who were stealing twigs from their nests.
Family Issues
It was mid monsoon and I love to spend time in my balcony with a strong cup of coffee and my camera during this time as everything seems so clean and fresh due to the dark clouds showering raindrops that turn everything afresh in their way. It was a cloudy day and all my attention was captured by this particular couple that was probably facing some relationship issues, I don't know what happened but clearly this guy was having a bad day.
A Tiny Heist
These were taken just two days after the images above were taken when I was leaving for some work and I saw this little Munia bird trying to pluck the grass to make it's nest. i instantly ran for my camera and the first two shots were taken in a hurry as I had forgotten to dial in the settings, which is the reason for such washed out highlights and as soon as I realised my mistake I dial down the correct settings and this third image was the result.
