The Hunter's Nest
I am a frequent traveller and often times I have to make stops upon glancing something that is worth capturing. So, here I was actually travelling to a place of business in the rural areas when I noticed an almost dried and crooked looking tree and so I decided that I will stop to take some pictures of it while returning. Luckily, on my way back I also got to take a picture of this pair of Indian Roller’s and the tree actually served them as a nest. It was almost time for sunset and the duo were preying on some insects on the nearby fields.
These two were taken on another occasion when I was travelling towards Bilaspur during the Monsoon and there were clouds all over sky and there was just a light drizzle of rain when I stopped to take pictures and I was bored of taking the normal pictures of this one, so I literally begged Lord Shiva to show some of his magic and Voila the roller unveiled it’s wing and I was swift enough to take the shot. Soon enough while I was still holding my camera into focus, the bird dove into the field for it’s prey, but unluckily it didn’t catch anything but I was lucky enough to capture the moment.

Birding in the Highway
It was monsoon and I love travelling and photographing nature during this time of the year as the fresh and clean air removes all the haziness from the pictures and everything seems vibrant and alive. I was in the NH30 where I spotted this magnificent Indian Roller sitting on a cable. it's distinguishing blue and buff brown features can be seen contrasting with the rich and vibrant greens of the freshly grown rice produce in the background.
