American Pekin

The White Pekin is a cross-breed of Mallard Ducks derived from the birds that were brought to America from China in the 19th century and that's why they are also called American Pekin and are basically a domestic breed of Ducks raised for it's meat around the World. They look very similar to the German Pekin who are also derived from the same Chinese stock breed but raised differently. They have a stocky built with a long neck and a creamy white plumage with orange feet and beak.

I was wandering around my hometown to capture the streets for my college project and after spending two hours roaming around in the streets I decided to take a break and eat some sandwiches that I had carried along with me. So, I went to the most famous lake of Raipur city, the Telibanda Lake where I found these amazingly beautiful Pekin Ducks and after I finished my sandwiches I grabbed my camera bag and started taking some pics of these along with the other birds that I will soon upload.
