
Here above is an image of a male Baya Weaver in it's breeding plumage guarding it's nest. While below I guess are the females who resemble a lot like a common house sparrow, although I can't tell males & females apart but it was the breeding season and a lot of males were there too in their breeding plumage so I guess these were the females there.




I was wandering around in a marshy area during the monsoon season where I found a small pond and there were a few thorny and a few palm trees around which is a perfect nesting area for these birds. They all started making louder calls as soon as they noticed me coming towards them, so I hid behind a wall and waited for them to calm down and then began taking pictures as they eased out.
